A chronicle of our preparation and journey across the USA on bikes; June 14 - August 21, 2009! Sweating, getting sunburned, and having a ball, all while raising funds in support of a great project.
the scope of this ride is still mind boggling. I don't even want to think about riding 4 miles from home to studio. Never mind 60 + miles in the rockies. I hear lot's about Telluride. Have friends there. Sure is a cute town.
I arrived in Telluride on Sunday, the 26th, from Pennsylvania, but came via Budget truck! I'm relocating from Virginia to teach at the school in Telluride. My dad and I did the trip together as well. On Wednesday I drove my dad around the area before he headed back to PA and we saw you guys climbing the HUGE hill before Mountain Village. We met Ken at a lookout and learned of your great adventure. I've been keeping up with your blog ever since. AWESOME story...very inspiring. Ann
Here we are, daughter and dad, with a big idea to cycle across the country this summer ('09). We want you all to come with us, or mostly feel like you have! Follow our adventure via this blog, and as a trade for not having to spend your summer cranking away over hill and dale, you can join in directly by making gift to the Ithaca College Crew Endowment! Thanks. (California (gulp), here we come!)
Get in the boat!
Add your effort to ours by clicking on the image to get you to the right place where you can make a real difference for the IC Crew! Hear's to the next 40 years of rowing at Ithaca College!
